1. Agreement to Terms

By viewing or using FinanceManager, registering for an account, or taking advantage of any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.

2. Description of Service

FinanceManager provides personal finance management software that allows users to track expenses, import bank statements, and utilize AI tools to categorize and summarize financial data. We do not provide financial, legal, or tax advice. The service is provided for informational and robust tracking purposes only.

3. User Accounts & Responsibilities

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. By registering, you agree that:

  • You will provide true, accurate, current, and complete information as prompted by the registration form.
  • You are the rightful owner or an authorized user of any financial data you submit to the service.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

4. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of FinanceManager and its licensors. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

5. Limitation of Liability (CRITICAL)

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL FINANCEMANAGER, ITS CREATORS, DEVELOPERS, AFFILIATES, OR PARTNERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION:

  • Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or financial standing.
  • Data breaches, unauthorized access, or loss resulting from hacks.
  • Miscalculations, AI hallucinations, or incorrect transaction parsing resulting in financial decisions.
  • Any failure of the service, third-party LLMs (e.g. Google Gemini), or external banking APIs.

You expressly acknowledge and agree that your use of the service—especially the uploading and processing of personal financial documents—is at your sole risk. FinanceManager is a portfolio project and is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE".

6. No Warranty & AI Disclaimer

We make no warranty that the Service will meet your requirements or be available on an uninterrupted, secure, or error-free basis. Furthermore, you acknowledge that we utilize artificial intelligence (AI) to parse and categorize transactions. AI is prone to errors, hallucinations, and misinterpretations. You must manually verify all AI-generated categorizations and extractions. We are entirely absolved of any liability stemming from decisions you make based on data processed by our AI.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FinanceManager and its developers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) resulting from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service, including the uploading of any sensitive financial documents.

8. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
